The State Museum's library holdings include around 170.000 books, magazines and media. In accordance with the museum collections and departments, the library offers literature from the fields of archaeology, ethnology, art history (until 1920), museology, natural history, numismatics, provenance research and restoration. The stocks can through our Online Catalog or the library network K10plus be researched. Holdings from art history are not yet retro-catalogued and can only be researched on site in the card catalogue.
The library is Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m, and when needed by appointment, open to the public. Prior registration (by email or telephone) is absolutely necessary. The holdings can be used on site, a loan is not possible. Unfortunately, the premises are not yet barrier-free.
